Robin has always loved stories. Growing up, she devoured books - they were the first thing she packed to go on a family cross country RV tour (46 states!). Not long after, she picked up a camera for the first time and fell in love with image making, going on to earn a BFA and MFA in photography and working in the commercial photography industry as a photographer and art director in Lima, Peru along side her husband, garnering a wide range of clients and projects. Also an experienced digital restoration artist, repairing and reproducing works on paper, canvas, photographs, rare books and journals, she has completed projects for national insurance companies, the DuSable Museum, the La Salle Bank collection, Loyola University, and Harley Davidson, to name a few.

After moving back to Chicago, Robin missed the creative outlet of the photo studio and decided to learn to draw. She discovered children’s book illustration and found the perfect way to integrate her love of stories and image making and hasn’t looked back since!

Robin was the recipient of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators of Illinois Illustration Mentorship 2020. She lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband, two sons, and her Peruvian cat.
